The Town of Westfield was awarded Silver Certification at the Sustainable Jersey Annual Luncheon on November 16, marking the second consecutive year of receiving this distinction. Westfield is one of 24 towns awarded at this level, further exemplifying the Town's ongoing commitment to sustainable practices. To become Sustainable Jersey certified at the silver-level, the Town submitted documentation to show it had completed a balance of the required sustainability actions, meeting a minimum of 350 action points, and highlighting new initiatives such as the Alternative Energy Fair, a green business recognition program, and a partnership between the Public Works Department and American Green Zone Alliance.
Thanks to the Town employees and Green Team members who have continued to prioritize sustainability across a wide range of our operations to achieve this distinction. Congratulations to all!
